Not all share the same December traditions.  For starters, not all observe Christmas the same way … not all honor December 25 … Orthodox Christmas is January 7th!

Some do not even celebrate Christmas!  Also, not all observe Hanukkah identically.  Some keep the entire week, while others are more secular.

Some observe both Christmas and Hanukkah.

Finally, not all share the Judeo-Christian heritage.  Some observe Kwanza, some the Buddhist Festival of Lights and others the Islamic New Year.  Some simply enjoy a paid day off … all of this is okay.

The point?  How we choose to exercise this fundamental right is an individual birthright.  What a great reason to celebrate, this month and always!
